TRURO FIRE & RESCUE

Many changes have occurred within the Truro Fire & Rescue in the last 25 years! The department has grown in so many ways.

There are now 7 EMTs on the dept, 1 Paramedic & some of the EMTs currently taking classes to become Paramedics! As of June 2008, our rescue squad can transport patients. We have added 2 trucks as well as a newer ambulance in the past year. Currently we are in the process of raising money through fundraising & grants/loans to update & add on to the existing building as we’ve run out of space.

In recent years the Truro Fire & Rescue Association was formed to plan & carry out fundraisers & manage the funds for the department. It is made up of members of the dept as well as members of the community.

All of our members are volunteers who spend countless hours dedicated to the department & the community. We have a great group of people who leave their homes in the middle of the night, leave their families at all hours & constantly show how committed they are to helping the citizens of Truro, & the surrounding townships & communities.
